707-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat? Hello yes!

The SRT Hellcat is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V-8 that outputs a stated 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque and can be best described, in a word, as monstrous. It is loud, it is angry, and it is extremely powerful.
Zero to 60 mph happens in a launch-control-assisted 3.5 seconds and the standing quarter mile in 11.2 seconds. Keep your right foot planted on a stretch long enough to reach the Hellcat's top speed of 199 mph. Dodge says that the Hellcat is the fastest, most powerful muscle car ever and those numbers seem to back it up.
With an MSRP that starts at $59,995 -- which includes a $1,700 gas-guzzler tax -- the Hellcat isn't just the most powerful Challenger that money can buy, it's also the most expensive. Our example also featured the optional 8-speed automatic transmission ($1,995), premium leather seats ($1,795), an upgrade to the stickier tires ($395), and a navigation upgrade for its standard 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system ($695). Add destination charges to bring you to our as tested price of $65,870.

I'd love to drive one, but if I'm dropping 60k on a car it damn well won't be a dodge.

Mercedes AMG E63 S can put up similar numbers but it will cost about $25k more.

Love it. Apparently the Dodge Viper team was not happy about this vehicle going into production.

real gear heads DIY.
I've been very active on a 7 series forum lately. You would be surprised how many diy M-cars and AMG. They are all the same once you have the info to proceed and the software to communicate with the computer.

FIFY
The whole Hellcat lineup is badass (only two right now, but I'm sure there will be more). The Charger is quicker on slicks/drag radials than the Challenger. It's absolutely nuts...a 4 door sedan that'll run high 10's with a simple tire change

Nice stats, but it doesn't look any different than the stock model, which is pretty common and garden variety.

They don't give two shits since they are the SRT group.
I'd still take a Shelby GT500 Super Snake, 850hp with the option for 1000+.

These are all good things, IMO.
We've had several generations grow up thinking an effin' Honda with a loud exhaust is a "performance" car. I don't blame those kids, for awhile, nobody was selling anything worth a crap.

I thought it was self explanatory. It's a dodge. The worst built of the "big" 3.
