I have never understood why people think that you have to square off and indicate that you are about to start trying to punch the other guy.
I'm not saying run up out of nowhere and through a knockout game punch but if someone is running there mouth or does some bullcrap like slap you with pizza, there is nothing wrong with walking up and hitting the guy.
This nothing fair about a fight and will never be. Hit first or get hit is about all

Guy should have cold cocked him immediately after the guy slapped him with pizza, pushed him and then called him a ****. Doing nothing until the guy sits down and turns his back is a bitch arse move.

I got sucker punched at a Taco Bell after going out one night. shite was nuts. My buddy was talking so much shite to these douchebags who thought we were trying to flirt with their girls. We were really just having a friendly convo in line.
The guys weren't even there when we were talking to the girls, but suddenly they blew through the door ready to fight. We spent the next 10 minutes calming them down with assistance from their own girlfriends. Just when we are getting ready to leave, my friend says, "Hey, can y'all give us a ride home?"
shite HIT THE FAN. One guy jumped across a table and tackled my buddy (the one talking). While I was trying to get him off, I suddenly got slammed in the side of the head. Didn't see it coming. Somehow didn't go down. I just looked at the guy and yelled, "What the frick, dude?" and he backed off. Then we worked on the guy right next to us. My buddy ripped his shirt off. It was hilarious. Taco Bell employees were in total panic mode. One of the employees says, "I'm gonna go get the mop." Food was everywhere. One of the douchers yells, "They're calling the cops." And the girls try to explain what was really said. Guy just says, "That's code! Let's get out of here." Weird stuff. I had a sweet bruise on the side of my head the next day.

Just because someone deserves it doesn't mean it's not a sucker punch. The dude deserved to get hit, but it was absolutely a sucker punch. He waited until the guy wasn't looking to hit him.
A couple other observations: After KO'ing the guy, dude straight up left; not cool. Also, friend of guy who got KO'd is a pussy for not standing up for his bro.
