My friend from FSU is coming to experience death valley this weekend and we obviously want to sit together. He's getting a ticket in the WEST upper deck. Now from what I can tell you're able to get to the student section from there correct? you'd just walk in and instead of going up the ramps just go to the opening towards the north end of the stadium and that leads to the north endzone in between the student ramps. I just want to verify that's a possibility.

The only way to "sneak" into the student section is if you have tickets in one of the 200 sections.

Well I've walked over to the West sideline entrances from the student section before to go to the gift shop and that's the same spot that the people in the West upper deck enter at so I figured he just enters there then we walk back together into the student section.

Get a ticket before kickoff in North end zone.

Tell your friend to make sure he is there for the kickoff as the place will be empty at halftime.

No way. West lower would be easy, but there is no way from the upper deck unless you jump, and that would not end well.

Uppers don't connect to lower.

I don't think he actually plans to go to the west upper...instead, he will enter the west gates and just walk around inside of the fence to the student area...

should work fine if there isn't someone checking tickets to the student section on the inside of the fence...

Bump this thread Sunday and let us know how it works out. I'm interested in this plan. Seems simple and feasible.

Need to be in the 100-300's. Nothing 400 or higher is going to allow you access to the student section.

I once took a tunnel almost at field level. Not really a tunnel but through the chain fence under the first few rows and snuck someone in. This was 2003

I have had friends leave the west upper at half time and relocate to the student section, but this was with a half-empty stadium...not nearly the same thing as trying to do it before the game on Saturday with 102,000 in the seats....

That's perfect. Go through the main front gates (I think 1-6) and once you walk through the gates you'll want to walk through the far left terminal. Once you get there walk almost all the way out onto the field, but turn left and walk through a tunnel and boom, you're directly at the student gate.

West uppers use the same gates as the lower bowl west side.

They all enter through those front main gates (1-6)

This is impossible now. I have done it for 20 years, but this year, with all of the new construction, they have cut off most of the avenues that allow you to travel from section to section.

I used to be able to get anywhere in the stadium from anywhere else except the East Upper, but the addition of new fencing and an influx of new "marshals" has put an end to that. People with a West Upper ticket can no longer just "walk in" to the West Sideline without running into three or four ticket checkers; The tunnel that allowed access from West Sideline to North End Zone has been fenced off and designated for "Official Use" only (EMS, Band, VIPs); The gap between fences that separated South Endzone from West Sideline has been eliminated; You used to be able to walk around the stadium--at field level--from NW endzone all the way around to NE endzone, but that was killed by a new fence along the West Sideline that makes the entire "field level" inaccessible.

So now, if you want to sit in the SS, you need a North Endzone ticket.
