With the way this board views Walk-Ons in Laf, Cheddar's is an absolute hell hole.

I haven't eaten at that particular resturant, but the cheddars that I have tried were typically decent for things like hamburgers & sammiches...that is what they do, so don't go in and order a fancy dish expecting it to be worth a damn... my only real issue with cheddars is that the crowd is typically kinda undesireable...

We've eaten at Cheddar's several times on the road and have never had bad food. Their honey croissants are incredibly good. Burgers were very good and I even like their ribs. Several of their sides were good as well. Much better than an Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday in my opinion. Nice decor on the inside, and above all, INCREDIBLY cheap. Of course, I'm not going to pick it over a real Louisiana restaurant, but if I'm forced to eat at a chain restaurant Cheddar's is at the top of my list.

haven't had the steak at El Camino in a while, but that's because I don't go to Abbeville. I recommend it. As well as eating at Dupuy's.
Black's is open again, but not sure how it is.

Hebert's for a steak in my book. Dupuy's >> Shucks these days. Blacks is reopened but it was "ok". Seemed like a limited menu -- several of the people I was with didn't care for their choices (wish I could remember what they got!). I had a seafood salad -- can't go wrong with that anywhere.

Go early ... we've waited recently for up to an hour and got there at what we thought WAS early (6ish?). Worth it though.
