Then don't... lets go to the Pink Chicken instead. Or - we can go to the Oaks in Grossille (between Abbeville and Erath). Its Vermilion Parish's latest and greatest super arse plush and swanky gentlemen's club. You can be all kinda Swabbe' and Deboner!

Someone knows VP and Hwy14

does Hebert's in Nunez have decent groceries/steaks ?

Last time I ate there was in 1993 when I leased Cow Island swamp land from Russell Green for deer hunting.

I've never heard of El Camino, but isn't Hebert's Steakhouse pretty close? Not sure which is better...

Hebert's still does a good steak, which is good because it's in BFE.

Count, what was the name?

That Cheddar's is in Chain City Lafayette. In that stretch of road they've got it all.

And funnily enough, those places sell dinner like hotcakes to the supposed culinary gurus of Cajun country. Last time I drove past cheddars there were dozens waiting outside.

Don't the greens own most of pecan/forked island? We leased duck leases from them long ago.

I haven't eaten at that particular resturant, but the cheddars that I have tried were typically decent for things like hamburgers & sammiches...that is what they do, so don't go in and order a fancy dish expecting it to be worth a damn...

my only real issue with cheddars is that the crowd is typically kinda undesireable...

Yeah buddy! I grew up walking distance from the Oaks. Steaks at El Camino are really good. I always loved the shredded lettuce on the salad bar.
