Except they are in a FCS conference not an FBS one.

SMH at ISU only moving up 1 spot. No respect for the MVFC as usual this time of year.

Looks like this time in the predicition they spread the MVC and SLC teams away from each other. But they do have two MVC and SLC teams playing each other in Rd of 16, the East Coast bias is starting to show up.

I made a typo sorry. I will correct it.
Also the annual OVC fade has started. I think 3 weeks ago they had 4 teams ranked now theyre showing their real colors.
Coastal is still getting hosed, theyre unbeaten and in no way should be below UNH.

Do games against FBS opponents hurt them in the polls / playoff consideration? And if losing to an FBS team doesn't hurt them, shouldn't that mean that beating an FBS team shouldn't necessarily help them either?

I could see this if we win out. Like Sam Houston last year.

They have 2 losses to Iowa and Hawaii and got hosed at Iowa. Against Hawaii they were driving to win and ran out of time.

Here is the ESPN poll, which is of no real value. The Sportsnetwork poll out of Philly is the generally accepted and well established poll and the committee uses it.

No, they aren't. The OP bolds the Missouri Valley and Southland Conference teams each week.

What is the word on the Nicholls situation now? I know one person who will apply for it, he is a position coach at Alcorn presently.

I honestly haven't heard much. Of course, Nicholls athletics really only get coverage in the Houma/Thibodaux market. I'm sure we'll hear more once the regular season is over. But whoever gets the job better be ready to get his hands dirty.

I think Allen saved his job this year at SMS. I was wanting DeAndre to come back home to be Head Coach.
I am not sure of any others that are in danger as of now. Western Illinois may and of course if UNI goes into another tailspin Farley may get some heat.
Towson is probably going to be looking after two years ago doing well and completely falling on their face the past 2.
I have not seen UT-Martin being mentioned much either.
