It's very possible that the Olympics horse was their target. And if so, I stand corrected. But the point still remains that they initiated this class warfare thing, relying on the baser instincts of many people, appealing to envy and resentment.

And I'm glad the GOP is giving them a taste of their own back.

Mrs Romney's horseback riding is part of her therapy, though.

I believe congress is scheduled to be in session about 112 days this year. She needs to get home more.

It's not THAT she has a home in DC.

It's the accusation that she identifies as home being DC rather than LA.

Remember, Senate is only in session for less than a third of a year.

No. She entered politics at the ripe old age of twenty-two.

The right wing rag, The Washington Post:

Kathleen Parker's article from WaPo

quote:

I have never heard of that and couldn't imagine how an Olympics trained horse could fit the bill for therapy.

Well, imagine it. And people were mad that because the Romneys were so rich (read "successful), they could afford such a horse. And a car elevator.

And that they took advantage, legally, of the tax code to take deductions for the horse - and it was used in Ann's therapy for MS.

Liberals only have sympathy for the ill when it suits them.

I don't know if it's the same horse.

But they are so good at stirring up resentment. As a matter of fact it's about the only thing they have.

A major part of the Left's meme is to drill in to people the idea, that if someone is doing well, it must be at someone else's expense.

Well Rafalca is the high-dollar dressage horse. It is unclear if Ann rides Rafalca as part of her therapy. She uses the plural "horses" when talking about it.

This isn't something they made up - they're rich. They invested in a horse. Ann Romney has MS. She uses horses in her therapy.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how the MSM spun the election away from BHO's failure to lead, failure to deliver and failed policies, into some resentment fill rejection of a man who apparently killed people with a cancer gun, has money, bought a horse, left a dog on the roof of a car and has a car elevator.

Still can't/don't get it. He's a former governor and a turnaround guy. He had more relevant experience to be President 20 years ago than BHO does now.

Wait until a super wealthy Democrat runs against more of a self-made Republican - the MSM will spin wealth as an advantage and put the stink on the poor Republican.

Rinse, repeat.

Remember when Michelle Obama said during the first campaign, "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country"?

What an unbelievable thing to say.

No one touched it. Not in the GOP (obviously how could they, the media would not have stood for it), nor in the media because they were in the tank for Obama. The Obamas and the Dems have in general been a protected class.

I'm glad to see the GOP finally taking the gloves off and pointing out the hypocrisy of a woman who's never worked a day in the Private Sector in her life, and whose only argument for re-election is spending other's people's money.

How does a life long politician afford this? Aren't their salaries less than $200K/year? that's the question that needs to be asked.

Her husband is a Realtor in DC. I don't think he specializes in 3BR/2BAs, or that his clients are scraping together the down payment.

Tax deductible as medical expenses. That's how kings finance the sport of kings.

KEEL Radio. 710 on your AM dial. Serving all of NW La., East Texas and possibly South Arkansas.

Stonecipher is a demographer, political analyst and he's a Democrat.

Do you have a link to this horse being used as a deduction for medical expenses? How much was the deduction?
