Landrieu got heated discussing her opponent Bill Cassidy’s Louisiana home and then went on an extended riff about how her Washington D.C. mansion is not all that nice, hoping Louisianans don’t actually ask for more details.

Why? Because Landrieu lives in a 7,316 square foot D.C. mansion with 5 bathrooms, 4 water heaters, 2 dishwashers, and 82 fire sprinkler heads.

Getting nervous, are we?

These are some odd features to highlight.

Of all the arguments for voting against Landrieu
(and there are very valid ones), this one (where her residence is) is the most asinine.

Has Landrieu ever had a real job?

I doubt she has ever added real value to any company or organization and was compensated for it

Why? If she is to represent Louisiana how can she really understand the issues? Is she really answering her emails and phone that much? I would think it would be important to live in Louisiana.

Most important and fair game in any election is how much time do you spend in your home state or district and how accessible are you to the people you represent.

Down playing your very nice house or any thing nice is never smart. Don't be ashamed for what you have earned or even not earned. You never look good trying that crap just ask Hillary

I just heard an interview this morning with pollster Eliot Stonecipher. He said there is a recent trend of Mary losing ground; Manness losing ground and Cassidy gaining. Right now it still = a run off but he said if the trend line continues then Cassidy will win without a runoff.

of course it is, and she is whats wrong with Washington. She is in the fairy tale bubble of D.C far from reality of the real world. And her voting record says that. I hope Louisiana sends her packing and gets some new blood in there.

Any one named Stonecipher should never be wrong.

Her primary job is in Washington, DC. If your employer (in Louisiana) sends you to represents its interests in Oregon, requiring you to spend the vast majority of your time there for a period that may last 20 years, it would make sense for you to establish your home there, have your kids live and go to school there, etc. That doesn't keep you from understanding the issues and perspectives of your employer, nor does it prevent you from spending enough time in Louisiana to get first-hand information. Look, the interests of Louisiana, in the long run, are best served with a Republican Senate (IMHO), even though the short-term sacrifice of seniority in the Senate is one of the prices to be paid. But making an issue of her primary residence is just political bullshite designed to appeal to the lesser instincts of an underinformed electorate, and we have way too much of that in this country (and particularly in Louisiana) as it is .

I agree-somewhat. But Mary's from the Party that demonized a man because his wife had a horse, which was part of her MS therapy. It's about time the GOP exposes the hypocrisy of those on the Left who make their money at the government trough, while at the same time attacking people who earn their money by actually producing something.

Mary Landrieu has been in politics since the age of twenty-two, and her husband rakes in hefty commissions by selling homes to the powerful and connected in DC.

If Ann Romney and her horse were fair game, this is too.

True. But Ann Romney and her horse (whether or not there was legitimate therapy purpose) weren't fair game--it was irrelevant attempt to foment class warfare. And neither is this. But if our standard for moral behavior is "If someone else can do it, so can I," we continue on the rapid slide to the lowest common denominator.

What's weird about the horse thing is that my mom had a horse as a kid... and her family was not wealthy at all.

The home is a symbol of how Mary and other politicians lose touch with where they come from.

Since the biggest issue is her vote with the national party, and against Louisiana (per the polls) on Obamacare what better way to drive home the fact she isn't responsive to La. but to her party is using her home as a symbol of just that.

The issue isn't her home, the issue is she's lost touch, she's no longer one of us, and despite her seniority she follows the party lead.

I'm just glad the GOP is bringing a gun to the fight.

It might make the Dems think twice before they pull a stunt like that again.

But it probably won't.

I don't begrudge someone with a horse, they aren't just for filthy rich people. But where did you hear about the therapy angle? I have never heard of that and couldn't imagine how an Olympics trained horse could fit the bill for therapy.

I hope this is true.

I don't think Katrina Mary was putting too much cash to get the massive voter fraud out in the primary. She was assuming that she was definitely going to make a runoff and would then pay the Morials and the rest of the black PACs millions to get all the Orleans Parish fraudulent votes in the runoff.

It would be great if she didn't get that opportunity.
