It is Monday morning and Will Muschamp is still employed…how is this possible?

I figured with the bye week coming this would have been a good time to pull the trigger. I think Foley is they type of AD that would want to be the first to get Florida's name out there as a place that has an opening so they could get a good shot at the biggest names first.

They are not going to fire him until the end of the season.

I don't see the point of firing him at this point. It looks tacky TBH - he's run a clean program and doesn't need to be humiliated. Everybody knows a change will be made, why rock the boat now?

If he wouldn't fire him at the end of last season no point in doing it now. Let the season play out and make the move.

If change is inevitable, then why not make it sooner than later? Why have the dark cloud of uncertainty hanging over your head the rest of the year?

Honestly, I am glad that colleges for the most part do wait til the end of the season, or at least the last week or so, before whacking coaches. Glad it isn't like the NFL where they snap coaches heads in a heartbeat on any given day.

Firing him right now won't do shite for the season. Just ride it out and pull the trigger in December

they can put feelers out without officially having an opening as I'm sure they are.

To try and salvage what recruits you have left. Let them know UF is committed to winning right now. You wait til December to get the ball rolling and you basically lose an entire recruiting class

Because it's trashy and reflects poorly on your university and program

We'll owe him 6 million if he leaves. Foley needs to appease the donors first. I guess.

I have no clue. It's fricking mind boggling.

He's not getting fired before the Georgia game.

It would be yalls best chance. Fire Muschamp and name the best players coach as interim HC, and hope that is the internal spark needed for these last few games to show some pride. Much like the Orgeron deal at USC last year

If they fire him right now, the team will come apart and they won't make a bowl.

They still have a shot to win 6 games. Keep him for now and see if you can do that. Because two consecutive season with no post-season would be extremely embarrassing for Florida.

He's gonna get fired either way, though. There's no salvaging his job no matter what he does the rest of this season pretty much.

I disagree. Most teams usually get a spark and finish the year better

This isn't the NFL, you still have to worry about things like recruits and bowl eligibility.

Exactly our point. You will lose all your recruits and have zero chance of turning it around an making a bowl with Muschamp. They have already quit on him

Are there really any decent names to replace him right now?

Honestly, id hate to be having to find a coach this year. There's really no one that is a no brainer or anyone that really jumps out at you

Foley has stated Muschamp was getting the whole season anyway, but even if he fired him soon, Foley would still likely keep Muschamp for the rest of reg. season, a la Zook. Although I really would like Muschamp to go ASAP.
