You know you are on the ropes and need a hail mary if you are doing campaign rallies with Liz Warren.

You are basically saying "frick the independent vote, I am going to win this with the far left socialist vote only"

I swear Braley has to be functionally retarded.

In the age of social media, one doesn't go into a fundraiser making fun of your state's senior senator for being a farmer by trade when your state is in the Great Plains.

I know Dems expect the media to cover their asses, but media blackouts aren't what they used to be when it comes to pissing off constituents.

I knew Braley was in trouble in Iowa by looking at the early vote totals.

2010 at this point- 133,927 total votes
Ballots returned- D 49%- R 36%

2014 so far- 199,703 total votes
Ballots returned- D 43%- R 41%

The polls you are seeing being released are giving Braley a 14-16% edge in early voting numbers. But the DSCC internals released Friday show their numbers only Braley +9.

So if GOP comes out like they normally do on Election day Ernst should have no problem.

TN Tigers, why is it that dems tend to beat republicans in early voting?

Noooooo, not "Bruce Bradley". She kept saying "Bruce BAILEY". After she made the mistake SEVEN times, the crowd yelled and corrected her. Fortunately for her, it was just before she was about to sing him a song on stage:

"Won't You Come Home Bruce Baily
Won't You Come Home
I'm Home The Whole Night Long
I'll Do The Cookin' Honey
I'll Pay The Rent
I Know That I've Done You Wrong"

GOP seem to be more old school and like to vote on election day.

Dems, in midterm years, have to have a better voter mobilization infrastructure in place because their voters tend to vote in lower rates.

I've read a few articles that say the GOP have put more money into early vote mobilization so I've been checking the early vote each day in the battleground states.

Comparing numbers from 2010 it seems like both camps are doing slightly better of course I only have the #'s the SOS offices have so I don't know exactly where these votes are coming from.

Also it doesn't factor in Dem ballots that vote GOP or vice versa but its something to work with at least.

No problem..I'm working on gathering some info and having it all in one place and then i'll start a thread.

Until then this guy is good with gathering all the early vote totals and has links so you can compare to 2010.

He writes for HuffPo but he is good with data similar to Nate Silver.
