Fwiw, I don't think any of the SEC teams are great either.

MSU, AU, And Bama would destroy ND. And the way Bama played sat. NOBODY would have beat them.

Based off what?

Their resume, and getting their shite pushed in anytime that they have faced an SEC team worth a damn in recent history.

The starters for ND are just as good as any and most SEC teams.

No they aren't

This is not some slow team

Yes they are

that does not know how to win.

They know how to lose to FSU, and squeak by the likes of UNC at home.

Then you are completely clueless about Notre Dame, the way it recruits, and the players it has.

They are not getting some scrubs they go after and get the same players the SEC gets.

Last 3 bowl games for ND vs SEC:
2013 - Loss to Bama, 42-14
2007 - Loss to LSU, 41-14
1997 - Loss to LSU, 27-9

They'll be in the playoff, and won't win shite, unless they draw FSU's overrated arse.

The Champions found out how overrated they were last year.

For context, LSU/Bama in 2011 regular season was 11.9.

And 2005 regular season USC vs. Notre Dame was a 13.0...so what's your point?

That's not saying much considering ND has pretty much lost all of their bowls games to every team from every conference the last 20 years.

True, but it's saying something.

What bugs me is the repeated talk about the slim chance that two teams from one conference make the playoff because of them already "having their chance to settle it on the field" yet the talk has already begun about ND still being a likely playoff candidate if they win out. It's kind of an odd scenario that will likely rarely occur, but in year 1 it may play out where an independent could be thrown into the playoff against a team they already faced.

Wow completely shocked that a mid 90's marquee matchup between two overrated teams drew more viewers than tennessee or Kentucky getting absolutely raped.

BUT, this was your original prediction, so I apologize.

quote:

This could turn out to be a classic or a dud... If ND can keep it close into the 2nd half I think they win. But if FSU jumps out like 17-0 or something close to that its over.

I will go ND 35-34.

NBC’s No. 1 Florida State at No. 2 Notre Dame averaged 22,019,000 viewers, 15,072,000 households and a 16.0 rating on November 13, 1993.

Considering it isn't a #1 vs #2 match, I think we did pretty well.
