What's everybody think of the show through 2 episodes? So far, I really have enjoyed it. Dominic West is good in everything and Ruth Wilson is smoking. I'm intrigued

Can't figure out who the person is that died and they're getting questioned about. Maybe Cole's brother?

I assumed it was his wife. Maybe I missed something. Midway through episode two now.

They said it was a "he." I'm thinking it was the brother that was about to bang the 16yo daughter.

The show itself has only been OK. I'll keep watching.

That's who I'm thinking. Maybe the father in law?

It's weird how they are so many differences in both recounts. In her telling it, he came on to her. In him telling it, she invited him to watch her shower.

Then tons of small details like the wife wearing a different dress at the party in her recollection. I wonder if the story is based on how everyone sees every situation slightly different.

I also can't tell which one is telling the more accurate story at this point.

Since the chick seemed a bit upset about the person that is gone, I assumed it was someone within her family.

To be fair, she seems dead inside after losing her son. Which, probably is a direct cause of her affair. She wants to live again and feel something.

Another thing that strikes me as very odd in her recount of the story is she says "If they knew what I was thinking they would kill me" when discussing her family and having to stay strong and she said something about killing her husband when asked of her opinion of marriage. She has all sorts of disaster and baggage upstairs and the man seems to realize this going in and just cant control himself.

Looking at her...it's hard to blame him.

Interesting observation. Makes sense

In her version, did she get naked in the shower? It was referenced in her version that it was good for him to see her with her clothes on or something to that matter.

Same here. Either Noah or Alison is crazy though. Those aren't just minor differences in their recollections. And I like the way the father-in-law verbally gives McNulty the double-bird.

The Noah halves of the show have been much more entertaining than the Alison ones.

The Alison ones have been mostly her riding a bike, brooding, or crying over her child

I like the Noah halves as well. Especially when the memory ques to her showing them panties or getting bent over in a car. He also seem shocked when talking to detectives and said "I thought this was an accident"

That being said, I think Allison is the crazy person in all of this. She gives you the feel good caring vibe but when she speaks what's on her mind its very dark to me it seems.

I honestly have no idea what is going on and why there are so many differences but one of them isn't being fully truthful.

Agreed.

I definitely think she blames Cole for the kid's death (we should be getting more details on how the kid died as the show goes on). I think the story progresses with her killing Cole and making it look like an accident.

I never thought about it but Cole would make sense. I think she's off in her accounts. She may be intentionally being less risque if shes the one in question for murder.

Just watched tonight's episode.

Gotta be Cole or his brother that's dead, right? Also don't know what to make of so many differences in their stories like whether he went to town hall meeting or not. Also I don't think in Noah's accounts has the situation with her kid ever come up...

Thoughts?

I don't remember Cole being at the party but I know his brother was at the party. I also know that they are creating a history between Oscar her boss and some bad blood as a possible motive so it was seem as if it was Cole or the brother who was killed. I do think it was Odd in Cole's account he said something about looking at Oscar. He looked pretty concerned and they made it a point to talk about him having an honest face.
