Hey, dumbshit! You seem to be more well-versed in canine behavior and stress response than, say, the ATTS. Tell me more!

Cop shoots dog

Dog owner is mad that he didn't control his animals and they ended up being shot

That must be why the cop called the dog over to him. Did you even watch the video?

Are pitbulls good for anything beyond cop target practice?

Read about a guy who uses his pitbull for frisbee competitions and stuff. He mentioned he can do a trick where the dog holds onto the frisbee and the guy spins it around in the air. It's one of a few breeds with a bite strong enough to do so.

(none of that is a joke fyi)

I mostly use my pit mix to play fetch or act as a blanket when I don't feel like getting up to get one.

Guy does same thing at the :25 second mark of this video. It was an attention making noise to make a good lethal shot. I see no problem with it.

I hate cops but pit bulls justify this IMO. too dangerous for normal society. They had a fricking grandma and 2 kids trapped in a car. non-story

"Trapped" inside a car or absolutely safe from any danger of being attacked by these dogs unless the dogs were able to open the doors?

I say the grandmother & child were perfectly safe inside the car & probably in more danger of errant bullets from a trigger happy cop.

Dogs can't run free, leash laws exist for a reason.

I saw the video, I read that those pits were menacing two people in a car. But what I saw was a cop calling a dog over to shoot it.

However, the cop has to know he's on a body cam. Why would he just shoot the dogs for sport if he's on video? And, the only video I saw was like 16 seconds. Add to that, in the video, I can't see the dogs as the cop fires his pistol so his description of the dog growling and attempting to charge could be true.

One thing that damns his story is that the dog is dead in the ditch in the same spot we saw him before and after the cop raises his weapon.

I don't know, it doesn't look good for him.

Those dogs were good boys. The first one puts his paws up in the air to surrender. Where's Al Barkston and Jesse JackRusselson?

but I loathe pit bull owners who act like pitbulls are no different than any other dog.

Yes, your pitbull might be a great dog, but they are naturally aggressive dogs. That is their breed. It isn't a generalization. Your ddog might be a great family dog, but it still has it in their breed traits to be extremely aggressive.

Yep. An extreme comparison would be taking a domesticated wolf, tiger, bear into your home and claiming how great they are around kids and that it's the owner and training that determines the behavior of the beast. So freaking ignorant. You can train a tiger to do all kinds of things but don't be surprised when his instincts kick in and he kills you.
