He lured the dog, made him believe that he was his friend, and then shot him, from what I gathered. That's the issue, not the actual noise he made.

Ah, so you are basing your opinion off of what?

The article spells out what happens and the video backs it up. Could have easily shot another dog and didn't. Why do you think that is? The other dog sat there and presented a perfect target to this monster of a dog killer.

uhhhh. the dogs were running around the car. the article says nothing about them acting menacingly.

the only "aggression" shown was the officer's account which didn't match what was shown on the video.

growling dog's head. As soon as I lifted my pistol, the dog began coming up the hill, continuing to growl and display its teeth

the video didn't back that up

Animal control could have easily handled the situation, and if the dog needed to be put down, then it could have been done humanely.

Watch the video. He makes a very standard attention getting noise for animals, the dog turned and acted in the menacing manner consistent to what had been reported, so he shot it.

Where's the problem? Are all dogs so sacred that violent ones shouldn't be put down?

Too bad we don't do the same with certain criminals.

You see the dog from 30' away coming at him for 1-2 seconds max. Then the dog is out of frame.

Not sure what video you had.

Until animal control gets there just let them do their thing I guess.

Yes let them do their thing. I missed the part where there were injuries involved.

Serious question.

Do you tell your homeowners you have a pitbull?
