Just curious, what are the readers basing what they THINK will happen on?
Off of a source material. And the only part of the show that it is in reference to is the church. Beth's subplot is absolutely unknown as well as the end game of the church. Kirkman stated on The Writers Room this spring that he warns the writers to not go verbatim or even get near it. Present arc excluded. I'm not defending the guy if you'll notice my early post. I think all reader speculation should go into the speculation thread. If you'll notice, I don't speculate in this thread because I'm not a a-hole. I read this thread to see what show watchers are thinking and get an idea of their feeling on the show. I will, as you can see, call out readers who need to put their speculation in the proper place, because:

Other than that readers are in the dark as well, just that readers have a flashlight.
By saying that there are some show watchers that are guessing what readers are thinking might happen is not a spoiler, but could possibly mean that there are show watchers that are more than they appear to be. At least that's how in seems to happen for the GoT thread.

They have gone over the max amount of black guys that were on The Wire and need to kill one off.
This is 75% of the reason I thought something was gonna happen to Bob in this episode.
I mean what black character would go on a run with rick and only other black characters when you are the least favorite? Tyrese didn't wanna babysit, he just didn't wanna die.

And now that Morgan appears to be coming into the fold, didn't kook good for bob. But I like him more now than I used to.

If you were an a-hole, would you realize it? If you realized it, would you admit it?

Accidentally did that, on mobile and screen is cracked. But, it works out
Posted on 10/22/14 at 3:43 pm to SEClint
Yeah, I realized it was accidental, which made it even funnier IMO.

No, because I'm not an a-hole. I'm a dick.
See there's three types of people in this world...

Anyone notice that in Season 1 and 2 the walkers were a lot more determined to get someone. I'm watching the S2 premiere ep. again and a walked nearly busted through a door to get Andrea. The ones now seem lazy compared to that.

They are decomposing. If you notice they look much worse from season to season. It's been said by kirkman and others that they are decomposing and is supposed to be noticeable. I assume that's in both looks and actions.
Posted on 10/22/14 at 8:18 pm to NATidefan
True, but there have to be some "fresh" walkers somewhere.
I mean...if they decompose too much there's no more show. Eventually the brain is going to decompose to the point where it doesn't exist and the walker just dies.
Holy shite, did I just write the series finale?

I'm just gonna say I called it when it happens.

Well there are always new walkers coming along from new people that die, and they have said walkers can't die, but can become immobile. But yeah, you would think they would become less of a threat as time passes, they become immobile and less people are alive to replace them.

My son who has just really started watching this season and is now Netflixing from S1 made the same observation.
I think it's partially the decomposition but partially that it there was a little inconsistency early on in them establishing exactly what cognitive and motor functions Walkers could possess. Heck, I think they even hit glass doors with a rock at one point and tried to climb things like fences. And the Morgan's wife walker turned the door knob. It took them a while to settle into the present "minimalist ability to do things" walkers where they just kind of shuffle along and a chain link fence stops them cold unless weight of numbers breaches it.
Here's a question I don't remember the answer to: I know there were some scenes with people hiding under cars and such. Did Walkers bend down to try to get them out from under there? (I know they bent down to eat Rick's horse and I think a cow or deer along the way.

Yes, they chased rick under the tank. And I think later chased Sophia out from under the car on the interstate. Probably other instances. They'll climb under stuff, but it tends to take them a bit to "figure it out"
Posted on 10/22/14 at 11:08 pm to NATidefan
Yeah that Sophia scene on the interstate was tense. That herd

Yeah, most of this happened in the first two episodes. I think it took them a bit to figure out the way they want the zombies to be portrayed. I didn't care for the use of the rocks cause it showed they still had thought processing skills that humans exhibit. The door knob turning didn't bother me as much as the fact Morgan's wife seemed to know that was her home... like she was a lost Alzhiemer's patient instead of a pretty much mindless creature.
