Nothing yet but Miles was talking post-game & said that Beckwith seemed pretty normal on the sidelines after leaving the game & that he was held out the rest of the way as a precaution. Supposed to be evaluated last night after the game.

I liked seeing some of our defensive players pissed off after that hit. I thought we might have someone try to crush number 8 over the middle though.

Were they able to find his mouthpiece yet?

Yes.
It was spotted in orbit by NASA.

This! Add in Collins just playing downright NASTY last night on the O-line; I think the team is starting to find that fire.

It's one thing to make errors in the game or just get outplayed; but this is LSU...they shouldn't ever back down or wilt no matter the circumstance!

What are they doing looking at space? Is no one working on Muslim outreach?

I figured as much. No reason to risk it with the way the game was going.

Hopefully we will get some clarity later in the week.

I sit in the upper east and could see the mouthpiece fly from my seats!

He got up and walked off!

He walked off the field smiling seemed more embarrassed than anything.

I forgot who it was came over to him on the sideline, you could read his lips say "dog you got hit".

I cant/won't speak bad about LSU players..

But Beck is now and has been the best mlb on the roster for 2 seasons....period! There is no question. Why the coaches accepted sub par play at that position is hard to explain.
His flaws are disappearing quickly! Simply being in a position near the sideline with an angle on that play tells me all I needed. No way any of the others have the speed to be in good position there...

But man, he got crushed

Yeah he looked to be smiling and joking around when he got up. He walked off the field pretty quick and easily. Didn't really look like someone with a concussion. Hope he's ok. Defense has been looking great lately with him in the middle.

projecting backwards is one of the biggest mistakes football fans make...here's Beck's quotes from last night

quote:

LB KENDELL BECKWITH
On the play that took him out the game…
“I have to salute him on that one. He got me pretty good. He knocked the wind out of me. I ran off the field laughing. I couldn’t do anything but laugh. He hit me pretty good.”

On tonight’s defensive playing…
“We’ve just done a better job of improving every week. We go out and execute the game plan every week at practice. We try to dominate when we go out [on the field] on Saturdays. We’re improving. That’s the goal every week. Hopefully we can cut our yards down even more.”

On his thoughts about teammate Jamal Adams…
“He is a dominant player, he has amazing motivation, and he’s improving every week. I wish I had that kind of energy when I came in. It took me a little longer to catch on.”

On his position on the team…
“I’m really comfortable. The defense isn’t a problem for me anymore. I try to do my job and get the call out to everyone on defense. I’m feeling really comfortable.”

I always wondered if politics kept Welter in the game---- like maybe his father got some jack or something.

Thanks for posting. . People like to forget he started as a DE and position changes take time.

Also that quote makes it sound like he's perfectly fine. Which is great because we'll need him this week.
