Saints cut TE Crabtree, sign LB Davis from practice squad

The New Orleans Saints have cut tight end Tom Crabtree after one week, and signed Todd Davis off the practice squad, the team announced on Saturday.
The moves are a good indicator of the team's health at this point. Crabtree was signed after tight end Jimmy Graham injured his shoulder two weeks ago against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Graham is questionable to play on Sunday against the Detroit Lions but is considered a game time decision.
With linebackers Kyle Knox and Ramon Humber ruled out for Sunday, the Saints needed more depth at that position.

Good move, Davis really shined in the pre-season. Hopefully he can bring some stability to this defense because we need something.

I think this has more to do with what Lorig can do than it does with Jimmy being healthy. Lorig is basically a FB/TE hybrid.
