Started to really hate them two years when about fifty of them were chanting "Go to hell LSU" during the national anthem. Didn't care one way before that. Very pretentious bunch of arrogant arses. Only one of that group was cool. My granddaughters were there. Ole Miss haters now. Lol

I hate Ole Miss as much as anyone but I really wish people would stop calling them Ole Piss. It's not funny or original.

Do I have to stop calling the other school Moo State?

I have hated Ole Miss since 2000 when I was in Oxford for the game. After LSU won the game a punk arse OM student threw an empty bottle that hit the daughter of an LSU fan in the chin. Several students cheered. Some of the older OM fans were helping her out and security arrived too but it was insane. 100% true story. It was Nov. 11 2000. I recall Deuce was returning punts that game.
As much as I despise their fanbase I have to admit the team this year is very good.

I'm a realistic guy. Ole Miss beat us last year and I'm afraid that they will beat the hell out of LSU this year. When I attended LSU back in the Dark Ages, Ole Miss was LSU's biggest game of the season. I was a sophomore at LSU when Archie Manning in 1969 cost LSU a NC in Jackson, Miss. That '69 season was so disappointing that LSU was screwed out of a bowl game thanks to that fighting Irish school in Indiana. LSU lost to MSU and I believe that the Rebels will be flying high and want to beat LSU in TS. to show the rest of the SEC that TS isn't what the media says about it being real loud and that LSU has a home field advantage.

They probably have the best defense in the conference. Their struggle will be when Bo Wallace goes Bo wallace and costs them a game. Hope its against us. We will need to find a way to generate some points and hope our defense plays its best game to beat them. Might need a turnover or two.

But seriously we have next week to think about that game. Kentucky will give us plenty of a challenge.

their defense is what's good about them. in fact, they are so good they make their offense look good.

I doubt LSU can run against them and that is it in a nutshell.

their fanbase is very nervous about playing a night game in Tiger Stadium...

as far as a rival to LSU, my feeling is more of indifference...

I concur, it's childish.

Ole Miss has a team that could definitely bring them their first NC in over 50 years.

The corn dog thing was started by Oklahoma about Texas

I'm about 95% sure it was started by an Iowa fan about Nebraska (Cornhuskers). From what I remember an Iowa fan wrote this long article about how Nebraska fans smelled like corndogs.... A couple of years later during an LSU/Auburn game week, an Auburn fan posted the article on an AU message board but swapped out all Nebraska references with LSU. Therefore an AU fan is responsible for the corndog thing for LSU but the whole idea was copied from an Iowa fan..... Unfortunetly for us, it stuck and went viral.

Agree with all but last sentence (20/20 hindsight vision!) It's Ole Miss week now!

It will be tough game for us no doubt. Their D will likely give us fits. I just don't see them as a Top 10, let alone #3 team playing for a title.

I would also politely disagree with calling the 60's LSU's "Dark Ages." That title would have to be reserved for 1989-1994, of which I was in school for 5 of those seasons. We hadn't had back-to-back losing season since the 50's until that time. GLAD to be in the GOLDEN YEARS of LSU Football now. The next 2 years are going to be special.
