Well, assuming no damage to the car, he probably just kept his foot on the gas. Can't tell for sure though. Might have got out and changed a tire first.

That's a little harsh just because the guy didn't observe leash laws.

For the record I didn't know they were outside. I was cleaning up the boat I don't know who let them out

This thread did not go in the direction that I thought it would.

I just assumed there was a back story I was unaware of.

OP, I am sorry about your dog. But don't shift responsibility to some poor guy driving home to bake you a cake and say "I'm sorry your dog was running the street."

Sucks all around.

Once had neighbor that had a cat that always crawled into the hood of my truck. The neighbor was pregnant when this happened. One morning I was going to school and all of a sudden ran over something. Looked in rear view mirro and saw a cat flopping around. I stopped because this big arse muscle builder dude was in his yard and I thought it might be his. He said nope, let me get a shovel...we put it in the trash that was being picked up.

When I got home the neighbor was looking around for her cat and asked if I had seen it. I calmly looked at her and said Nope. Didn't want to have her drop the baby right there.

Did your dog like to chase cars? That behavior can be easily corrected the next time you get a dog.

I can't think of a single good thing that could come from stopping from the driver's standpoint, and not really much bad from not stopping. I don't blame him.

Holy shite, this thread is terrible. Usually the board stops being a collective a-hole in threads like these and actually offers some sympathy and support. Either the OP is a real dickhead or a lot of you have miserable little lives.

What do you want them to do, stop and have a candlelight vigil? It's just an animal, I would do the same thing.

I can honestly say he has never chased any cars. He had never spent enough time outside to do so.
