im actually a closet royals fan. it goes back to going to memphis chicks games.

yes. its not to the extent of auburn/bama of course. but yes you're not a cardinals fan and a royals fan, or vice versa.

Same, I spent some time living in NY, there certainly are no Mets fans who like the Yanks....there may be some Yankee fans who like the Mets more out of pity, but it isn't common in my experience

Not here. I'm a Cards fan. I won't be mad if the Royals win but I probably won't watch any games.

No, I think it's more that Cards fans just don't care one way or the other about the Royals. I think a lot of them are perfectly happy to see the Royals not being shitty. Royals fans on the other hand seem to have more of chip on their shoulder toward Cards fans.
