If we are interested in these 2016 guys....

Kristian Fulton, CB, 6-0, 170, Rummel, 2016

quote:

Fulton has returned to the field after off-season shoulder surgery and has looked really good. The Tigers would love to snag a commitment from one of the nation's elite cornerbacks and it may not be far away.

Briston Guidry, DL, 6-3, 275, Rummel, 2016, Mississippi State commitment

quote:

Guidry is extremely high on LSU's board despite not having an offer as of yet. He has been dominant on the football field this season and it won't be long before the Tigers join the race for his signature.e heavily recruiting

why not go after

[b]Tyrell Jacobs DT 6'4" 265, Rummel, 2015
Oklahoma commitment

we only have 16 scholly's and it's not as if we are stacked at the position or anything. Oklahoma is no joke. Plus, it may help with the others

Agreed I think we should go for the Rummel 2016 hat trick. That HS defense is one of the best in recent memory. #3for3.

Wtf? He's a junior in HS. Dorsey was 270 his freshman year at LSU. Micheal Brockers was 255 his senior year of HS. Davon Godchaux was 265 his senior year. You dumb.

Yea I like both of those DTs. I watched the Rummel - Catholic game and those 2 DLmen are the reason they won. They slowed Guice down both up the middle and laterally.... Those guys can play.

Yep they stood out big time almost every play. There are plenty of 280-300 lbs DTs out there that aren't quick, don't possess the necessary natural abilities needed for the position, and are just big bodies bulldozing genetically inferior HS players. I'll take the 260-270lbs guys that can flat out play ball and will add muscle mass in college.

so who would you take at dt in 2016? LSU options include Alexander, Lawrence, logan, Guidry, Oliver (tx), the dt from dallas, others.. we can't take everybody. all of these guys are seriously in play for LSU. what should be the order of preference.

I say Alexander, Lawrence, and the first 2 to commit out of the remaining group/

Obviously the 2 in state top 100 beasts are priorities 1&2 but after that if there's 4 players that are close talent wise, 2 IS and 2 OOS, I want to keep guys home. It continues to build on the loyalty/state pride factor that helped us so much in 2011. However every year we see numerous cases of OOS guys really wanting to be LSU Tigers and in state guys that are indifferent. So kiss arse and fight for players like Alexander and Lawrence regardless, after that players that really want to play here are the next takes. With our history at that position and the current depth chart, it shouldn't be a hard sell.

You do know how big Godchaux was before his injury last year right? You do know how big Godchaux is right now right? Godchaux may realistically be 15lbs heavier than this guy.

If they have limited Fournette and completely shut down Guice in back to back years, why in the hell not go for him? That would also allow us to move Herron back to the outside.

And yeah the New Orleans Catholic District is def not known for its competition level or putting out talented college players. Were you born this slow or did you have an unfortunate head injury in life?

Every time I read one of your posts, I think "this, this is the dumbest thing he's said".

Then I read the next one.
