I've always had a good time there, but there are some trashy people there, and the ones that come over from Delaware rival Alabama.

my (ex) inlaws all live in south philly

I have fun too, but it's just further proof that racist redneck culture exists in the urban centers of the northwestern US

I mean, Philly is a cool city, but it can't hold a candle to NYC, which is almost without question the greatest city the world has ever known.

Stay out of North Philly

Little bit north of temple on broad can be rough.

There's plenty of things to do: museums, bars, pubs, eagles, flyers, 76ers, penn's landing, lots of festivals, malls. The person who said Conshohocken for tail is right. If you're interested in doing things outside of the city, I can help with some of the northwest suburbs (Horsham, Montgomeryville, Ambler, King of Prussia, etc). There's also skiing/snowboarding/tubing in the poconos (about 2, 2 1/2 hours north). Camden aquarium is nice

I always used to go out in either Manayunk or Old City. My brother used to hang out around Rittenhouse Square a lot - he's into that swanky stuff.

This thread is making me miss home!

Is that all there is to eat in Philly? Just a bunch of overpriced food high in fat and cholesterol?
