Like from when your house was broken into?

Tomorrow makes 5 years ago that my house was broken into and I have never received the first thing back. Nor have I gotten a call from the detectives in 4 years

The guns and the family jewelry passed down to my wife is what we miss the most

My house has been hit 3 times in the last 3 years. The latest being this past Sunday.

Never got anything back.

Detectives don't give a shite about getting your stuff back. If they ever do find anything it's pure luck due to an unrelated offense or blatant stupidity.

My house was broken into back in July, and I know that a few of the guitars stollen are at a pawn shop. I called the police multiple times to let them know , and every time they just tell me they'll look into it and get back with me.

I've finally just given up on getting any of it back.

Had my 10-speed stolen from under my parents' carport in 1976. Left the house, came back & noticed it was gone in the morning. Called the local police who came & filled out forms. A little after 9 pm the same day Louisiana State Troopers brought it back to me.

A kid that was being transferred to a juvenile center got away, ran until he saw the bike & took it. They caught him 69 miles away. I almost felt sorry for the poor SOB.

if you are absolutely positive that they are yours and you can prove it, I would call the tv station tomorrow and let them run with it...

ETA: I am just perplexed as to why we as a society are so tolerant of people who break into the houses of others....

Some teenage kid stole a GPS from us one time. We figured it was gone forever until the police showed up to return it one day out of the blue. How did they know it was ours? The little dumbass who stole it didnt know our address was plugged into it as "Home".

The Memphis hood.

I work with kids at an inner city church. I started when I was in seminary and just never left. Hopefully I will be out of here by the end of the year.
