S/S say he got away with some bad/tampered transcripts to "qualify" and he's being treated like a "partial" qualifier and has to complete a year of school in good academic standing before he's cleared. Same treatment as Brian Bridgewater.

So, the NCAA Clearinghouse allegedly just completely missed the supposedly tampered transcripts, but the representatives of the SEC, that leader in the commitment to higher academic standards for athletes, just so happened to uncover the kid's allegedly tainted transcript?

I'm calling Bull $hit! This is a screw job against LSU!

Just my opinion.....

NCAA clears him, SEC doesn't…. shouldn't it go SEC clears him then the NCAA clears him? This is beyond screwy.

LSU compliance self reported the transcripts.

If that's the case, then wouldn't the LSU Compliance folks have self-reported to the NCAA Clearinghouse first.

It seems awfully strange that none of this became a fraking issue until after the kid has already been approved by the NCAA Clearinghouse and conveniently because an issue to the SEC.

How many other SEC schools have had that happen to the, say, in the last 5 years? My guess would be NONE.

Will be gone next year, IMO. I don't think he's going to stay around at LSU.

I've been told you would think this office is run by Bama graduates. They're almost anti LSU.

He's not leaving, the kid's apparently going to classes and working hard in practice.

If he were gonna leave, it would have been easier for him to have already left rather than going to school and practicing for a entire semester!

He's also apparently got a chip on his shoulder now because he feels like another school has tried to get him DQ'ed. That's a good reason to stay!

Just say'n.....

Les sounds hopeful. I think the worse case scenario is Valentine completing the semester under good academic standing and then being eligible for a bowl game.
