Anyone else hear this? Said Dallas officials meeting with Perry to discuss this option. Anyone?

What the frick does that even mean?

Heard a rumor that the county commissioner is considering declaring a state of emergency. Just a rumor though.

If the damned thing is going to get out, it's already out thanks to the chick that decided to go for a flight with 100+ other folks.
Besides, containing a city the size of Dallas is completely impossible.

I really can't get over this. Just so mind-frickingly stupid and selfish on her part.

I'll be mildly surprised if anyone gets it from the flight.

They will be, too.

We should probably just shut the entire country down. Just to be safe.

She did exactly what she was supposed to do and that was check in with the CDC. She did that and on her return flight she had a temperature of 99.5 and the CDC approved her flying home. Not this poor woman's fault that she didn't know she contracted the disease and relied on our illustrious government give her the okay to travel.

Played at the Cooper Institute today. Actually was a big topic of discussion with the doctors.didn't hear anything about this. Screw that. They block down Dallas, I'm out if here.

There's a difference between being legitimately concerned, and taking appropriate measures, and panicking...and this is panicking.
The problem is, because it APPEARS that the feds are refusing to do anything, they are leaving it to others to grasp at straws (and, yes, I am talking about a complete absence of travel restrictions - the explanations for this are fricking ludicrous).

I fly through DFW on Sunday. If they shut down, my business trip will be canceled!
In this rare case, I'm okay with government overreacting.

A certified nurse can't even infer that it isn't a god idea to take a commercial flight shortly after directly interacting with the Ebola virus?

A guy joins a monastery and takes a vow of silence: he's allowed to say two words every seven years. After the first seven years, the elders bring him in and ask for his two words. "Cold floors," he says. They nod and send him away. Seven more years pass. They bring him back in and ask for his two words. He clears his throats and says, "Bad food." They nod and send him away. Seven more years pass. They bring him in for his two words. "I quit," he says. "That's not surprising," the elders say. "You've done nothing but complain since you got here."

USA Today has an article in the Sports Section that the Dallas Cowboys are worried about their players getting Ebola. (Imagine their chances of winning the Super Bowl going out the window if Tony Romo gets Ebola).
This is not a joke. The article is in the print edition today.

I'm sorry but the last I read she was a Registered Nurse who did not specialize in Ebola or was trained on the Ebola virus. She got her information from those idiots at the CDC who approved her flying. I don't blame the poor nurse at all because they were responsible for educating her about what she was supposed to do/not do.
