Holy shite, this movie is so smug and delusional. I want them to make a sequel in which green berets and pro wrestlers invade the island and beat the shite out of everyone.

It's just a movie, man.

I've only seen it once, and I can't even remember it very well. All I remember is the great YouTube video summary.

I have seen just the highlights on youtube. The scene where he runs up in a bear suit and knocks that motherfricker out is classic. It cracks me up everytime. Of course the bees scene is pretty great too.

I've only seen the original, which was kinda cool. The Internet warned me not to watch the Cage version.

The Nic Cage version might be the best bad movie of all time. It cracks me up.

Is the original also about feminist dogma or can I watch it without wanting to kick Hillary Clinton in the balls?

The remake is awesome, if only for Nic Cage running up a hill dressed a bear and punching a lady in the face.

The original had no feminism message. It was more about ancient paganism vs. modern Christianity.

This.

This kind of movie works with Cage and his over the top style. Still not a great movie, but the original was overrated by many. Just got high ratings because Britt Ekland danced around nude. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

The original didn't have a heavy message, it was mainly a suspense/mystery. But it did have Britt Ekland's naked boobies and cool trippy music. And Christopher Lee is always good as a creepy old mysterious dude.

I enjoyed it. Wouldn't be a bad Halloween pick, as it revolves around pagan harvest themes in addition to a general eeriness.

A friend brought it over and I was half watching it while playing a game on my computer. Towards the end I had to take notice, but that last scene had me going...

I really want to see this only based on watching that Nic Cage screaming compilation Youtube video. I laugh my arse off every time.

I watched most of the movie for this reason, but it's not worth it.

The best parts are pretty well captured in that compilation video.
Otherwise, it's pretty boring.
