The government has no business being involved in the health care market at all so why do I need a plan for health care outside of repealing obamacare??
yeah because for profit healthcare works so well. It's set up to overcharge because the people who stand to make more from it can milk insurance companies. "oh we got these pills for blood cancer, in 1998 they were about $10,000 a year, but now more people have insurance, so we will maket them $95,000 a year"
Or "let's charge $4,500 for an ambulance ride"
Man. F the free market when it comes to healthcare.
I know it's unpopular here, but single payer is the only way that everyone has a fair shot at healthcare.
Currently the for profit system suck.

It's not stupid and you can't debate against it, thus explaining why you didn't.
Just admit it instead of acting like a bully who can pretend to beat somebody up over the internet.

No they can't. And the only freaking idea they have to "fix" healthcare is to let the free market, for-profit medicine model stay as it is.
I almost hope that they contract a disease that causes them to exceed their insurances cap, and then watch them go bankrupt over trying to afford to stay alive, then only to die because they could no longer affor treatment/medicine.
That shite happens all the time.
Can you afford $90k a year for Gleevic?
Why should a drug cost so much? Oh yeah to recoup research and because of the "benefit of the drug". Yet the drug is twenty five years old. Still recouping that research, huh?
The for profit market driven model is only about one thing and one thing only. Making money off the pain and suffering of others.

I don't get my "news" from there. I just think he makes great points sometimes.
The answer is not always government and the answer is not always free market.
But thanks for your contribution as always it is full of absolutely nothing.

If you're too stupid to realize the rising cost of healthcare is a direct result of government involvement decades ago...I dont know what to tell you.
best of luck.

Yeah... Nothing at all to do with Drug Companies gouging people for long ago developed drugs. Hospital administration trying to flip beds asap to make more money. Ambulance companies charging as much as they can.
I think it's a cop out to sit here and blame government regulations, as if if they removed the regulations everything would be cheap and accessible. I think it's easy for you guys to think us "libs" are in "lala land" but you don't realize you've been there too.
Debating with you is a lost cause, you are a conspiracy believing nut job whose only debate tactics is to lob a half sentence insult and then bow out.
Rinse. wash. repeat.

You shouldn't argue things you don't understand.

lol, you could post this in every thread, to almost every poster. But you chose this thread and me because my opinions are so different from your own.
I am god damn convinced that it is truly impossible for any conservative to come up with an idea to fix healthcare.
It's just too easy to attack the ideas of others rather than to contribute their own

1) the patent life on a drug - start to finish is 15 years. So, to you, that's "long ago." Strike one.
2) "hospitals turning beds as fast as they can" - It's unclear what this even means. Many hospitals' contracts are set on a per diem basis with managed care companies. So, if the rather vague idea expressed by you transmits any sort of truth, your accusation is irrelevant. Strike 2
3) Ambulances charge "whatever they want." Lol. Ambulance providers contract with cities, hospitals, etc. Strike 3
Eta: to be fair, you said "whatever they can." Pretty sure every business does this. "My mechanic is charging whatever he can!!!!11!!111"

There's never an appropriate time to fear monger. Fear-mongering is counterproductive. Shep Smith hit it out of the park when he said that there is no reason to panic, and when there is reason, we're not allowed to. Panic prevents solutions.

Every industrialized nation with more government involvement has significantly less expensive healthcare than we do.

Neither do ambulance prices.

please just quote those laughable WHO stats, then we can all post the pages of destruction on how they are reported...then we can get on with the disucssion.
Please, it's where you're angling, just save us al the time so we can move forward.
