Anyone think that this game gains us any respect back?

Even though LSU is favored, you know everyone expects a struggle. Being not even mentioned much in the SEC West conversation, and even though Kentucky is not thought of as a powerhouse, I think we gain back some respect IF we come out and thump the Cats.

Team confidence is on the rise and the momentum is building for a good back half of the season. It is of course a very tough group of games we are about to head into, but if all phases continue to improve (and quarterback play doesn't hinder us too much) we could make a pretty good statement to the conference and be set up for a great 2015. What say you?

I think we should break the top 25 if we win.

I don't think that we will "thump" them but a win would at least get some national attention for the ole miss game.

I don't believe an East team has beaten a west team in the sec as of yet. Not sure a west team beating one of the worst East teams gains that much respect on a national level.

If we win by more than 2 TD's, yes. I'm so excited about the potential of these last 3 games.

You say this, but this season beating Florida at the swamp couldn't put the Tigers back in the polls. The Mississippi schools are also currently top 5 teams.

This whole season is crazy.

IF we come out and beat the bricks off UK, we get back into the top 25! LF better touch the ball atleast 25 times though!

agreed. from a sheer match-up point of view, i honestly like our odds against everyone left but Ar Kansas, and I think we beat them too just because I want to think that.

They're 5-1. Aside from the game they got robbed in at the Swamp, they would be 6-0

I agree with you. But on a national scale, this doesn't matter. They are still unranked Kentucky and we are at home at night. Kentucky is getting zero respect on the national level. Perception is what it is. We need to beat them and then beat Ole Miss to get some respect back.

I don't think so. No matter how well we play against UK, people wont respect us until we defeat a powerhouse like Ole Miss or Bama.

Ole Miss isn't a powerhouse. They're just having a good year. So far.

No, maybe a little, will certainly be nice to have 2 sec wins. Was brutal being tied with Arky for those two weeks.

no we're at home at night against a team that hasn't gotten much respect in the polls and hasn't beaten anyone. We're expected to win this game

Win (regardless how ugly or pretty it is), and we're back in the Top25, and more importantly bowl eligible. Upset Ole Miss next week in a game that we will likely be mere 7pt or so underdog, and then we start to feel some love again and things begin to look up heading into the final 3 games and the 2015 season. If we win these next two LSU will start to be talked about as a "young team that's growing up that no one really wants to see on their schedule in November."

FWIW, I have us beating Kentucky, winning 1/2 against OM/Bama, and winning 1/2 against Arky/A&M...8-4 overall to finish the season. Grab a bowl win after that and you've got a very positive feeling about LSU heading into the 2015 season.

Nor should we be mentioned in the West discussion considering Miss State would have to lose 3 games more than likely (could sneak in with three way tie at 2 losses).

If LSU wins by 10 or more points, and looks halfway good doing it, I think you will get some love from the media....saying watch out for LSU they seem to be finding their way...etc....just in time for Ole Miss and Bama at home......then a win over those two, and you will hear that LSU is the best 2 loss team in the country.....ha
