In the past the go to answer was nothing can be done until the contract runs up in October. Well we're halfway through October now. Anyone know if there is any hopes of having this done in the next 2-3 weeks?

you can get espn3.com coverage only. i understand why they dont offer it, but that excuse wont last much longer since the contract is about to run out.

i use my friends cox account but i'd like to stop doing that eventually.

Directv is wayyyy better than cable imo, but it is so retarded that they don't have it. Whatever is costs them in contract talks has gotta be a drop in the bucket

Have you checked recently? They expanded their carriers by A LOT recently. Even most small time dealers carry it.

like i said they offer espn3 coverage only. their contract is suppose to end this month and thats when they are suppose to negotiate the watch espn portion.

if that's true and you dont go DTV because of that you would be stupid. DTV is easily the best.

However, if for whatever reason they dont end up getting it in these contract negotiations then i'll be pretty mad.

And I thought Time Warner Cable was bad with their SEC Network shenanigans. If DirecTV shows all the channels on TV, why not allow streaming?

They still don't offer it.

The excuse I as given was a contract issue. Hopefully its corrected soon. My folks are about to move and cancel their cox account

If you believe them they cant. Because it wasnt negotiated in their last contract. Which was years ago when espn had espn360 (now called espn3).

WATCH ESPN didnt exist yet.

I broke down and got a slingbox about a year ago and now I don't have to worry about the carriers not having live streaming access like watchespn.

But to answer your original question. October was always the date that I read DTV/Disney contract was up on DBStalk.

CAD loves to belittle people with no information to back his claim up. I switched to DTV a year and a half ago and wish i had done it sooner.

i've had dish for years and its been fantastic.

you do realize there are 2 satellite providers right?

why would you think DTV is better? in what way exactly because dish is inexpensive and has better features.

i've had dish before. it just feels like a cheap version of DTV. I don't agree it's better.
