The reason for the I10 closure this morning

Suicide by Semi or maybe not
Girl parked on top of the overpass & just walked out in front of an 18 wheeler. Here's a link to the closure. Didn't see one for what happened but it's there somewhere if you're a "link?" person

This is getting to be a bigger and bigger problem. Seriously, truckers now have help groups and insurance for suicice by 18 wheeler.
Apparently homeless folks and other people like the idea because a stranger is doing it for them.

I remember reading an article about this type of suicide not long ago. So very sad.

Sad story. The girl was 21. My friend played volleyball with her in high school.

State Police said a Texas man was driving a tractor-trailer through the area at the time and hit her.

Yeah but they've still got her genes so the species hasn't really gotten any stronger. Unless she didn't have any kids.

I used to know a girl who stepped in front of a bus one night. Cop who showed up at the scene was a friend of a different friend of mine but put two and two together. Said it was "a half-mile long horror show"... I would definitely need counseling.
