NBC's Nancy Snyderman Violates Ebola Quarantine

The head of the CDC has slammed her for it, and she's apologized, but if a high-profile, medical professional like Snyderman can't be counted on to honor a quarantine, how are these west African governments going to get thousands of ordinary folks to comply?

The second Dallas nurse who's contracted Ebola also violated the quarantine when she flew on a commercial airline flight from Cleveland to Dallas the day before she started showing symptoms.

Top health officials said Wednesday that a nurse infected with Ebola never should have boarded a plane.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had announced earlier Wednesday that a second nurse who had cared for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person to die from Ebola in the United States, had contracted the disease -- and also that the nurse had flown from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday, the day before she fell ill.
"She should not have traveled on a commercial airline," CDC director Tom Frieden told reporters during a conference call. "The CDC guidance in this setting outlines the need for what is called controlled movement. That can include a charter plane, that can include a car, but it does not include public transport."
Frieden said the nurse shouldn't have flown because she was one of the 76 nurses who had cared for Duncan, all of whom are under observation.

This is how this kind of stuff can get out of hand. Both are idiots.

And she is pretty stupid to have been so cavalier about it. They have a cop car in front of her house now.

Time to start marketing and selling "Ebola killing hand sanitizers".

They had to do the same thing to Thomas Duncan's family after they violated the quarantine.

The shelves that normally contain hand sanitizers in stores here in DFW have been cleaned out already. It's like trying to find bottled water before a hurricane. You don't need any special marketing to move product.

Amazon FTW with hand sanitizer. Playing down there again tomorrow morning. Clorox wipes & hand sanitizer still in bag from last week. Yes, I know I can't catch anything playing tennis but I'm still going to wipe the toilet handle, sink faucets & bathroom door handle with a wipe.
