Have a friend working in Chalmette today and tomorrow. What are some good lunch spots. Or any other spots. I know Rocky and Carlos will be mentioned so throw out some other things.

Go back across the 510 bridge and eat Vietnamese food up Chef Hwy, it's the second exit right there over the bridge. Pho Bang, Ba Mien, Dong Phuong. You could run in Dong Phuong and grab a couple of Banh Mi poboys for $3.25 each and be happier than a pig in shite. I get the number one with complete mystery meat and it's so damn good. The grilled pork and the liver pate ones are insane as well. Really, really good food over in that area.

It's not going to blow you away, but probably the best in the area.

I would go to Old Arabi Eats before Mimi's, but it is more my style of food.

Second hand information, so take it for what it is. Ate there several times earlier this year and it was dead at lunch.

Taco del Mar closed too, it wasn't too bad. Have a brand new Bud's Broiler.

Grew up on Friscoville and go to these two places whenever I go home...

Old Arabi Eats has a killer Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburger.

If you're looking for lunch and dinner for later, order the seafood muffaletta at Arabi Food Store. They only sell it by the whole.

Go to the Marigny or Bywater for lunch. It's not a great area still but it's safe for lunch.
