Lets say that AJ doesn't come out and play like he did against New Mexico State anymore. That would certainly merit putting Harris in immediately.

But say he consistently plays with a 40% completion rate close to what he did at florida. With maybe a single pick every other game and averages one TD pass per game.

What will it take for Harris to get in?

An injury or bypassing him in the offseason IMO

Harris is never getting back in unless AJ gets injured. probably going to transfer and light it up at the juco level and then end up at miss state with merlins.

with jordan jennings throwing 13 yards in the first half, i'm sure miles was wishing harris was healthy.

I hope we see him, he needs game reps. Having said that, LSU needs this win badly, because as it stands to day, LSU will be underdogs the rest of the way, Obviously, this could change.

The coaches need to be quicker to make the move. You have to have a plan of when you want to see him get those snaps. A detailed plan including an exact sequence of plays that he is to run and a situation that you anticipate whether it be based on field position or score or time left in a half. If they don't rotate him in early enough, the game will settle in and it will just be more and more difficult to do so. Harris has to have a defined role or series before this game starts if we are going to see him. I hope they interchange them honestly. Like 2 series, 1 series.

Well, at some point this year we will need to throw the ball to win. If Harris really is too hurt to play then I really hope they're spending 100% of their time trying to improve Jennings. The offense just is what it is this year. People need to come to grips with that. If can't move the ball on the ground we're likely going to get blown out.

If the games are close I doubt you'll see Harris. Look at Miles' comments from this week. He said they wanted to get Harris in the game but the opportunity was never there.

That sounds to me like he'll only see the field if it's a blowout. Whether we're up big (or down) Harris likely won't see any quality playing time. I hope that's not the case as he seems to be the one who can lead us into contention next year. I just don't see it happening with AJ.

I just remember thinking the light bulb would eventually turn on for Jefferson and it never did. I hope it's not the same for AJ but after nine games (8 starts?) it's not looking promising.

His fade pass against UF was beautiful but one quality play won't be enough to beat the big boys consistently. If he can't step it up against Kentucky at home, it's time to start playing for next year.

I don't buy that this is the reason he did not play. Miles prefers Jennings

CLM has lost me as a fan due to the harris situation. I will probably turn the TV off after watching the same ole wasted downs of running up the middle and them falling behind.

LSU will never win the west with Jennings at the helm and thats more of Miles fault than his.

Well, unless Harris is made of rubber bands he was definitely feeling this Saturday.

So you suggest we get away from the run attack and rely on our stellar passing game?

Ben Love had a great quote yesterday on Mascona's show. He said Leonard Fournette won Jennings the job @ Florida. Miles sees that this offense can win with that combination and he will continue to ride it to try and win games.

He will take over as soon as the coaches feel he knows the offense as well as JJ 2.0

Not sure why everyone is dogging Harris - he is 0-1 in SEC play as a starter. AJ is 0-2 so how exactly is AJ our savior? An 18/19 year old kid was thrust into the game against the defending SEC champs and national championship runner-up. Of course there will be a learning curve and while I agree that he sucked donkey balls in that game, it doesn't mean he shouldn't have an opportunity to bounce back from it. Hell, AJ has had several opportunities against far weaker opposition and still didn't play well.

If Harris doesn't get reps, why should he stick around? Unfortunately these days, these players have their eye on the next level - not satisfying some of our whiny arse fans who operate under a false cover of knowledge.

I suggest that our best young players take their lumps this year and be ready to gain some hardware for next season.

Otherwise next year will look just like this one
