OK so I bought it and finally got to watch it. Explain to me a couple of things:
- How was Charles still alive in the future?
- Why/When did he and Eric meet Logan in the airport at the end of Wolverine?

I get that Singer very craftily retconned the events of X3, but I'm confused as to how Charles wasn't dead. And what was the point of the post credits scene at the Airport? Is that just when they got Logan to return to the X-men for the fight against the sentinels?

Ignore X3

Ignore that too.

Xavier was dead, in parallel universe X3.

Yeah that was him just returning. None of it makes sense.

Ignore Freauxzen. He's wrong. Xavier was alive because at the end of X3 after the credits, Xavier's consciousness is woken in his brother's brain dead body.

I don't think I've seen X3 since I saw it in the theater. I can understand them meeting Logan in the airport. I'm having a hard time figuring out how Xavier was alive to do so.

And the retcon doesn't happen until Mystique doesn't kill the president, so that doesn't explain why Charles isn't dead.

And with Mystique posing as Stryker, does Logan have the adamantium?

And my iOS totally autocorrected to adamantium.

I'm honestly disappointed DOFP is so damn good as a movie because that means Bryan Singer will still have a job.

I hate how he has mystique basically naked and slicked back hair when she looks like this in the comics....

The real question you should be asking is how in the hell did Wolverine go from no adamantium claws at the end of The Wolverine to having adamantium claws in the future portion DoFP? I don't see him going through that procedure willingly again

The only X-Men movies I've seen and allowed to stay in my memory are First Class and DOFP. Everything else is irrelevant/obsolete/bad.

Personally I thought DFOP was a bad Xmen movie, but a decent movie and Fox/Singer keep making the same movie over and over.

Without knowing the status of Mystique and Erik at the end we don't really know, but what I took from the movie that the events of original trilogy(and The Wolverine) didn't take place...If Mystique separated from Erik (and it looks like she did) than she has some sort of evil plan against Logan? Someone she doesn't even know? In addition to that, why would she wipe his memory, because Logan would remember how to get to Charles, unless she doesn't and poses as Stryker to give Logan motivation to act as killing agent. Charles however would be able to track Logan since they already met.

I could go on and on about the film, but to get to the point, this movie didn't clear up anything, and actually left more questions than answers.

but hey, AoA is going to give us another Charles/Erik/Logan/Mystique story and the other characters will be pushed to the back.which is nice.

He was hanging out with Magneto in the future time. That'd be a much quicker fix job for Magneto.

Only part that made no sense.

She didn't. We are dealing with two different timelines and two different Logans. Future Logan took over the body of past Logan. Neither remembers the experiences of the other.

Charles/Erik/Logan/Mystique story
They need to move on to some other people. I want an X-Force movie.

He didn't. He is in the new body.

Is it possible that he projects his image to make the X-Men and students more comfortable around him? In "reality", he looks like the patient in the coma. But to everybody else, he uses his powers to look like his old self.

I'm totally making this up and I can't explain why he is still in a wheelchair if he got a new body.

I wouldn't think about it too hard, but I took it as because he is in a body that has literally been brain dead since birth and doesn't function normally. Muscles have never been used before, so he can't just start walking. See: Matrix. He looks like Xavier because he's his twin brother.

The more complete answer of course is because they wanted to pretend like x3 never happened, but the pretense at least is given by the x3 ending.

See above. Muscle atrophy would be very severe. Again, this is a plausible explanation, whether it's enough for you is up to you. It's enough for me to get past it and enjoy the movie, especially since it reversed a terrible part of x3.

I would like to see the Morlocks saga. Get some Wolvie/Sabertooth action going again. And there's also this...

I watched it today and wondered in X-Men origins wolverine didn't Stryker get wolverine and sabertoooth in Vietnam after they survived the firing squad so he would have known who he was in 1973 or was this an alternate reality.
