Exactly. It's the set up for the story. The Series and just a regular day in that area turned into chaos.

My wife's old apartment is one block away from where they just showed the destruction at Jefferson & Divisdaro in the Marina. Her friend took it over from here lives still there & we stay there when we go back. It is a weird feeling being there & knowing the big one can happen at any time & remembering what happened to all those buildings there in 89. My wife was also at the game. She said it was nuts & you could see the ripples go all over the field.

I was young but can remember a lot of this (especially the freeway collapse). I've only been in some really minor tremors here in Ky, so I can't even imagine.

Never knew the freeway collapse was in Oakland. Thought it was in SF. No longer double decker bridge or freeway.

I was 4 years old living in San Ramon. I can actually remember my milk spilling and crawling under the table. Dad was towards San Jose and loop around and come in through Sacramento to get home.

I remember being somewhat scared every time we were on the Bay Bridge because I had seen the video and pictures of the collapse

Agreed. Should have been longer and less herky-jerky. They would have been much better served doing it by timeline.

I had just finished organizing my baseball cards. About 5 or 6 thousand in nice stacks all around my room. I was not happy.
