Just ordered a Kicks High Flyer Full.
Wondering if anyone had a review on this particular choke.

I hunt in open marsh much like most of yall I know on here, so just wanted to get some local reviews.

have a kicks high flyer mod in my m3500. great choke and patterns well with kent shells. i had one in my remington as well. great chokes and i would use them in any gun i purchase. Never had an issue killing birds, tulaneuva did a choke test on a maxus with a few different chokes. search for that.

TulaneUVA did a review on all the aftermarket chokes with science and math and shite a while back. You should look it up.

Will do. Generally, every review I've seen on Kicks has been good with really no one changing them out for a different constriction or even a different brand.

Of course, buddies of mine will tell me the Patternmaster just cant be beat and they become the ultimate deadeye shooter, but others have said the PM only does well with a select few brands and load size shells.

I have a kicks high flyer on my xtrema2. I found it douse make a difference in terms do dropping birds vs just crippling them.

I've had my Kick Hi Flyer modified in my Benelli for about 4 years now and like the range it gives me. I should mostly Kent and Heavy Metal.

Patternmasters are picky.

I appreciate the info guys. Y'all never let me down on here. I'll prolly go with Black Clouds or Blindsides. Hevi-metal may be too much for the birds I'm goin after. Mostly greys and teal in my area.

Either way

It's like any other choke. Some loads don't do well in them.

With mine, federal 2 3/4" #4 patterns better than anything other steel load I've tried. It doesn't like kent 3" shells nearly as much.

It does well enough with everything, but it definitely is not a miracle choke. The differences really show with buckshot. It particularly doesn't like anything without a full shot cup wad, which makes perfect sense. E
