I want to hear from some of my fellow so-called "Sunshine Pumpers"

I want to hear from y'all as far as your past predictions of the program, how they panned out, and what your general attitudes of the present and future are of the program. The reason for this is that I've noticed something that interests me:
I'm called a Sunshine Pumper by people from Katy, Texas, to wherever overweight people are born out of wedlock. I've never predicted anything worse than a five-loss season, and I've never predicted a national championship in the preseason. Every one of my predictions I've ever made in the Miles era has fallen somewhere in between 8-5 and 13-1. Only once have I predicted that LSU would win an SEC championship in the Miles era, and that was 2008. Oops.
Every expectation or prediction I've ever expressed in the Miles era has been realistic given Miles' results up to this point. So far, the sky has been the limit, and 8-5 has been the basement. It cannot be debated, and the results back this up: I am a realist.
I have a sneaking suspicion that every single person who is accused of being a Sunshine Pumper more or less has this in common with me.
My predictions for the long-term future? More of the same. An occasional SEC championship trophy and an outside chance of a national title. LSU will continue to win almost 80% of its games under Miles just as it has done in the past. Les Miles will retire as the winningest coach in LSU history.
Sunshine Pumpers, I implore you to chime in with all the "sunshine" you've been "pumping," and I wish to refer to this thread for years to come.
Geaux Tigers. Yes. Yes. Yes.

I predict an undefeated season every year. When we lose, I predict we run the table.
I pump sunshine so hard I have solar flares coming out of my arse when I fart.

i predicted 3-5 losses this year along with 80% of this board. i would like us to get a couple more SEC championships and a NC before Miles retires.

I am guilty of pumping some shine.
As far as past predictions, I have learned that I never have any idea what is going to happen...mostly because I have never had much access to real info outside of this forum, and we all know that is not saying much.
I felt in 2008, we were going to be competitive..but Malvetto happened.
2011 took me completely by suprise as far as how good we were.
2013 I was completely suprised by how great our O looked and how shitty our D looked.
As far as the state of the program, I think this class of tigers could be great. I like Miles, but it is frustrating that we look so inept at times. I keep thinking the preparation is not there sometimes.
That being said, I don't know who could do a better job than Miles.
I feel as if he may coach for another 2 to 3 years and see what he can get done with this special class and then retire.

Is it? Miles has been with us for a while, and he is 60 years old.
I couldn't blame him for retiring after a few years. Spend time with your family and friends. Relax. Probably coach little league on the side.

"Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."
~Tennyson
. . . Forever LSU!

What's worse. Using the term sunshine pumper or posi-tiger?
Posted on 10/14/14 at 2:30 pm to hondurantiger
I pump my share, but this " An occasional SEC championship trophy and an outside chance of a national title." also fits Alabama, Florida, Georgia & Auburn. (Notice 2 of those are also in the SEC West, and LSU plays a third yearly...)

Many sunshine pumpers are predicting that we only lose 1 more game this year and I've seen many say that we win out if that gives you any idea how realistic they are. They're blind optimists.

Not too many ppl predicted 5 losses.
Not too many people predicted the losses to be as bad as they were. Therein lies the rub, people.
