Would someone besides me like to see this kid atleast start doing KOR's? This kid is suppose to be the fastest on the team.

I don't really get why someone else hasn't been given a chance back there yet. Letting LF return kicks and giving him the ball 25 times a game is stupid.

I agree esp when you consider the present state of our special teams. what I mean is that I have noticed poorer down field coverage and poorer blocking on KO and PR's. LF has to battle just to reach the 20 almost every time. and we haven't had a single exciting punt return all year (not just for a TD ).

I'd like to see him (Chark) or someone else get a crack at it........like maybe T. Quinn or Q. Leslie

Why is it stupid, about of college teams have a RB return kicks. Is LF not good enough to return kicks.

And Chark, a guy no one is seen play seems to be a selection.

Maybe ball security means something, just guessing here, throwing shite against the wall

It's more likely to be magee or dural. Those guys were heavily considered before.

Anybody remember Kevin Faulk?

For his career he averaged over 20 carries a game. You can look all of the stats up here if you like. On top of those 20 carries a game,in his senior year he managed to return 23 punts and 9 kickoffs and receive passes for 287 yards. He managed just fine with all of that work.

Anyone who things that any player can't be the #1 tailback and return kicks is just talking out of their arse.

So?

Xavier Carter was also once the fastest on the team....and what do we remember him most for concerning kickoffs?

Speed does not automatically equal great return man. Another flawed argument that people like to make here a lot.

Rather see Chark redshirt at this point. We have plenty of people that can return kicks.

Is Chark on punt/kick coverage? Surely his speed could help on punt coverage right now.

IIRC he dropped a pass in the end zone after it hit him in the chest. I would like to see him play, but not if he can't catch. Charknado will get more chances, but the coaches probably have the best they can returning P/KO.

KG, you are a rare poster in that I respect your opinion, so correct me if I'm wrong. Yes Chark has played and technically will be a sophomore next year. However, if he doesn't play in the remaining games, I believe he can petition for an extra year. LSU will claim he sprained an ankle or something and I believe these are routinely given for a 5th year and many times for a 6th year. Obviously you have 5 years to play 4 years, but a game or two with limited snaps usually gets you that extra year.

I'm all for taking a touchback everytime. Have we even returned a kick past the 25 all year?
