I was just wondering how they held up for you guys that used them regularly.

My Gold is my go to shotgun. I duck and squirrel hunt with it. Never had a problem with it. I usually clean it every February.

1. They don't fit me.

They have shims for the stock so that shouldn't be an issue. Just FYI.

I have a 3.5" gold hunter. Got it when the 3.5" was 1st introduced. Gun worked great until it got some age on it. Started have a hang up here and there after about 8yrs and numerous cases of 3.5" run through it. Bought an SBEII and then an Super Vinci. It hasn't been out of the case in a long time now.

I borrowed a friend's first generation that only shoots 3 inch and it is a fine shooting gun. It ejects low brass just fine.

Yes.

A .28 gauge is between a .410 and a .20 gauge, very light recoil.

Have a 3" gold hunter and it is by far my favorite shotgun I have ever used. A very smooth shooting gun. Yes, you do have to keep them clean. I get about 5-10 boxes between cleaning. A sbe2 shoots like a 2x4 compared to the gold.

The action on the new A5 is identical to the Benelli. You won't get the comfortech system with the Browning though so I don't really see the point other than brand loyalty.

That being said, a new A5 with the nickel colored receiver and wood stocks in 20ga would tempt me if Browning made such a thing.

What? Have you actually shot one? A gold hunter weights a lbs or two heavier than the SBE2 and the SBE2 has shims so that you can help it fit the shooter

He's saying there is no decimal point in 28 gauge
