I have a manager complaining about the Colts D. He started them this week and they gave up 28 points, but the DST only gave up 22 of the 28. JJ Watt scored a TD while the offense was on the field for Indy.

The scoring system charges points against the D for all of the points scored against the team, but should it only count for points given up whle the defense is on the field?

Anyone have any issues with this? The difference between giving up 22 and 28 is -2 points in our scoring system, and the manager lost by less than a point. But he brought it up to me on Friday.

Usually just points that your defense or special teams give up, but I guess depends on league

Im sure if you read the league settings real well it states exactly what it is.

And to that it is what it is. He wouldnt be complaining if it went the other way around and it won him his game

Total points scored regardless. That's how it works unless your league is set up otherwise.

The league settings say, Team Defense/Special Teams and then gives a breakdown on points allowed and points the D/ST receives as a result. It does not include the entire team and the D/ST did not allow these points.

Also, as I mentioned, the manager came to me with this Friday. The matchup still was very much in doubt at the time. He didn't complain tonight.

Sounds like a guy that doesn't understand the rules. Total points against regardless of how they scored.

Espn standard says that all points count against the defense. The commish would have had to change that settings, and i rarely hear of people that play that way.
