He seemed to be asked to make more plays, and he did his part. Also, he led the way against a stingy Florida Rush D, LF looked good running behind him.

I just love the name Melvin, honestly. Perfect fullback name.

Melvin Jones is someone I'd like to see get more involved in the offense. Hes a big guy and if you've watched his HS highlights, the big man can really move.

As a receiver, without question.

He's a really athletic option at Fullback. Now if only we can get our athletic TE's in the gameplan.

He may have made mistakes, but watch Hilliard's touchdown again.

Sealed the entire edge and basically blocked 3 defenders on Hilliards touchdown run. Beast.

I'm a big fan. I'd like to see him in some TE packages too.

So did the coaching staff do the right thing in the 2013 season by playing Melvin Jones at FB instead of inside LB and deciding apparently that he is a better fit there?

He had a pretty damn good game against UF. If I remember correctly 2 receptions for 1st downs, we obviously shoved the ball down one of the better run D's throats, and I only saw one bad read on pass protection.
