This does have potential.
Dominic West is always good.
And I've been panting after Ruth Wilson ever since she heated things up in Luther.

What is the overall premise besides the obvious affair? Have it recorded.

Someone is dead. Investigation and flashbacks from two different points of view.
Good enough of a first episode for me to keep watching, but I wasn't blown away.
The wife is the easy guess, but the interviewer asked West's character how life was back then and he said "my kids were healthy", so I think something may happen to one of them.

I like how they showed to perspectives and the subtle differences in both accounts.
I also like how in both accounts she was taking it from behind with a smile.

I started watching this on Sunday, but was in and out of the house so I missed most of it. I started watching again last night and thought I lost my mind. I didn't realize it was 2 different accounts of the story.
I did enjoy the premier, and will keep watching.
One thing. On the initial story telling during the childs choke scene, I thought I noticed the waitress pick up the choking obstruction and place it in her apron. It appeared she looked at the item and then hid it quickly. Did anyone notice this or am I seeing things?

I saw that too. Not sure what to make of it because it didn't happen when she told her side. Not even sure what it was. A candy?

My initial thought was it was his wedding ring, but that couldn't be it. May try to see if I can catch it on replay.

First episode was really solid. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Losing interest. Last night's episode was boring as frick. Replace the two leads with actors I don't particularly like, and I would be done with it.

I'm still pretty interested, but last night's episode didn't advance much other than giving us a few more details about her son.
Spoiler:
I did think the differences relating to the detective (happily married vs. divorced) were particularly interesting. Could just be an account difference, but could it also represent a time difference for the investigation?

I think it's pretty good. I do think they have to build a story up and the whole episode dedicated to the affair starting and taking place had to be done but they could have shortened it and added more meat. Hopefully, this is the only bore the shite out of you with boring details episodes.

Whenever the detective is in the show, I assume it is at the current time and is not being retold by either of them. I don't think him telling them two different things was because they each recall it differently, I think he actually said two different things to them. I think he said he different things to each of them because he thought that is what each would want to hear from someone they would open up to
