I am going to be traveling in about 5 weeks and the passport agency says the standard processing time is 4 - 6 weeks. Has any else gotten a passport lately? How long did it take to come in?

Thanks.

Do the expedited processing. You will pay a lot more for it but sometimes you gots to do what you gots to do.

I got my passport several years ago. I think it took around 5 weeks.

Honest answer...I just completed the process and it only took 3 weeks. Got my passport about a week ago.

If you live in or near New Orleans, you can get it the same day. They make passports in that city.

I wouldn't chance it if you know for sure.

Should be a drop in the bucket if you are traveling abroad on such short notice.

You should be fine. Everybody should just have their passport done. Too many people go through this.

I am driving to upstate New York to visit family. The Mrs thought it would be nice to go to Niagara Falls and I hear that the Canadian side is nicer.

Anybody been to Toronto? Is it worth seeing?

I did this. Checked in at 9:30 and submitted my paperwork and they told me to come back at 2:30. Walked to Burbon, got drunk, walk back at 2:30. Walked out at 3:00 with passport in hand.

You can get a passport card for $30 if you are going to Canada or Mexico and not flying there

There are special passport places where you can get it in a couple of weeks. My parents just did it a few months ago. I know there is one in New Orleans
