t? I mean you get a free education, free food, worshipped like rock stars on campus, and can get any girl they want. You don't need to beat a girl up, stand on a table and yell, out obscenities about people. If you're a top player like Winston or Gurley you know you're getting drafted in three years after you enter college. Just don't act like a damn fool

People will come on here and say they've been made to feel special their whole lives, so they think they play by different rules. Bottom line is no home training.

I agree with this as well. It's because no ne held them accountable in middle school or high school. Their high school coaches probably let them do whatever they wanted with no consequence

I would've loved to play a game and receive free books/tuition/housing/food for it, with the opportunity to go make millions after graduating.

This poor pitiful college football player routine is the most obsured thing going in sports right now.

Most college football players get a pell grant. It can be a few thousand dollars. Now, before you say that's not much consider this.... Most college football players don't have a car on campus, they get three meals a day paid for, free room and board. They don't have any expenses for four years and don't have to pay a dime... Sounds like a pretty good deal to me

Because athletic ability and education aren't reliant upon each other. Many star athletes come from homes that aren't teaching them how to properly excel and behave in society. Add to that what was already stated about them feeling as though they abide by a different set of rules and you've got your answer.

It's still only a small percentage of college players that are getting in trouble, especially compared to the NFL. Do I wish the number was even lower? Sure but it is what it is.

Why do they do this stupid shite? Entitled, spoiled or just plain thugs. Hard to say.

And some have always had special treatment, especially the superstars. No punishment, not holding them accountable at a younger age.

Delayed gratification is not a virtue commonly held by anyone that age, including football players.
