How much is parking at the Superdome parking garage for a concert? I seem to remember it being around $10, but I am not 100% sure. Has anyone been to a concert there recently?

You really are going all out for the planning and budgeting process for this big trip to the city aren't you.

When? What day?

Will you be drinking alcohol? Where are you staying?

Went to a concert last week at smoothie king. Parked in dome garage for $15. Five minute walk to front door. Back on I-10 west in no time.

Park on the street for free (after 6:00). Park on the street near the Rouses. It's an 8 minute walk. I do it for the Pelicans games.

Thanks. That's what I expected, but I know it changes from event to event.

It just seemed like too much of a hassle during the return trip with all this talk about ne'er-do-wellers roaming the area.

I'm just weighing my options and trying to be as overly-obsessive about this as possible.

Are you staying the night in New Orleans and if so where? It may be easier just to walk from your hotel if you are close.

Bar hop to the area. Cab it back where you are staying.

I thought we had you convinced in the other thread to take the street car to the dome area and cab back.

If you want to drive and park, the area around the dome is perfectly fine. Like already mentioned the street parking in the CBD/Warehouse district is free after 6 or you can use one of the small pay lots.

We park in the Old Charity garage for Pelicans games - which I can assure you is a shittier proposition than parking by Rouse's, especially at 10 PM in the dead of winter. And it's fine. You should (of course) keep your head on a swivel, but you're in a big city. The same applies in any other big city.

Just fricking man up and street park. Parking on Canal in Mid-City and taking the street car is also a good idea.

I'll be there tonight as well and I will not park in a parking garage. Takes forever to get out. Street park it or ground level lot.
