Nice article about situation with Titans. Greg Cosell (Howard's nephew and well thought of as analyst) of NFL films was on local radio talking about Mett. His observation was the Titans need to give Mett five full starts in order to evaluate him before the draft next year as Locker is not the guy of the future. Mett is the kind of QB Whisenhunt likes.

He likely will. They will be eliminated from playoff contention and...

1.) Word is the Titans staff is growing weary of trying to keep Locker healthy (he can't)

2.) Whitehurst was always a temporary fix and is clearly not starter-material.

Hopefully this time has given Mett a chance to adjust to life in the NFL, learn the playbook, and get his knee fully healthy.

How is Locker even a starter anyway? He's had opportunity after opportunity and he is just purely sucks or gets hurt. We're going to see a lot more scrambling QB's in the next few years - seems to be the direction NFL play is moving toward (ie. RWilson, Johnny Clipboard, CNewton)

The DB coach just moved in across the street. I'd like to ask him what their plan is but 1) he's never home and 2) he's got his own issue at DB

I think Mett will be a really good quarterback.. Maybe not enough to carry a team deep into the playoffs (Hopefully I'm wrong), but he can definitely work up to a 8-9 game winner as a starter. Like a Stafford type of quarterback. I can see if he gets the right coach (like a Sean Payton), he can definitely become a playoff type quarterback.. with the right receivers. It would be cool to see Beckham, Landry, Jeremy Hill, and Alfred Blue all end up on the same team The chemistry would be outstanding

Well because only half of this is true

He has been average and hurt

Maybe they feel like he is growing like they thought he would when be stays healthy

Mett's actually pretty good in Madden. We did a fantasy league online. and I picked him up as a back up.. first regular season game, Brees got hurt (season ending).. So Mett carried us to a 12-4 season. and I'm about to play the NFC championship game.

Clearly, you are clueless. Have you watched Locker at all. He is solid when healthy. Maybe you aren't cutout for analyzing nfl qbs.
