anyone regularly drink Kava Kava?

After reading about it I am kind of surprised it is even legal. Seems interesting enough to try but it sounds like it tastes awful, though the 8 hour effects may make it worth while. I suppose you can develop a taste for the stuff...maybe.

I drank a lot when I was 14 and in Fiji for a basketball tourney, it isn't that big of a deal.

Aren't Kava Kava and Gurana(sp) stimulants that are in a lot of Energy Drinks,"All-Natural Diet Suppliments?

They can raise your Blood Pressure to dangerous levels can't they?

Kava Kava is the opposite of a stimulant -- it's normally consumed as a sleep aid, or anti-anxiety. I've tried it before. It does taste nasty, but you don't need to drink more than a couple ml of it. It helps with sleep, but it's nothing special. It was controversial years ago because of reports of liver damage.
