I wear them at the lake for stuff like working near the shore while clearing aquatic plant life, riding a standup jetski, and wake skating, because they're useful for those things, it's a private lake, and I'm a married adult who doesn't give a frick. They're also good for tubing the river. But they were never in STYLE.
