Edited: Picked up this bad boy for $800. No power but yammy controls. Floor has soft spots, so I'm planning to redo stringers/floor. Transom appeears in decent shape though will get it inspected and replace/repair if necessary before adding power (sounds a hair hollow around motor mount).

Everything on google images I see looks like a fish-n-ski type of setup. Meh.

I wouldn't really have any use for a boat that length with that deep of a hull though.

From everything that I've ever heard about that hull, it's suppose to be one of the best ever made.

NO WAY. There is little to NO flotation in them. We sank one twice in one night camping out on the islands due to storms.

When I hear Wellcraft I immediately think of fishing for northern pike or something similar. Just not a boat I picture in the south, not to say they are a bad boat but my pre conceived notion.

Boston Whaler's are one of my favorites because you really can't sink them.

Growing up my dad had a 1989 21' deep V Wellcraft. Awesome ski boat on Toledo, good boat to run to rigs offshore, but places like Big Lake are too shallow for it in many spots.

That's a bad arse hull. Grew up ratting around on the gulf coast in one of those. Sucks about the soft spots.

You could spend a fortune trying to redo that boat. I say hang a motor on it and enjoy it while you can w/o spending anything; you obviously didn't overpay. Don't get stuck w/ a money pit, those hulls are fairly easy to come by on the gulf coast.

Without a doubt. Going to keep it simple for now. Hull itself is in very good shape, so I'll probably skip the new gelcoat even though it would look boss.

Great boat, same hull as the old Aquasport CC's.

Which are in big demand as ole war horse hulls, collectors items now...........
