I have been under the assumption that anything a licensed broker says on here must be approved by the boss man as it is classified as a public appearance, or does the fact that everyone is semi anonymous skirt by the law somehow?

Just curious.

I have no idea what an IAR is, but I would find it very hard to argue that anything on here is more than "informal advice".

I don't wake up in the morning and go man, I really want to give some legally binding advice on TD!

How many people on here do you know who are public figures and you can figure out their real name and all?

People can so what the hell they want on a message board like this.

Edit, there are a few exceptions. You can't be a judge or law official of some kind posting with a user name that outs who you are while commenting about litigation and prosecution cases that are ongoing, etc.
